How We Do It: Process Specifics

Viewing the Whole

It is critical to have repeatable processes that produce success, and to be able to vary strategies to get the desired result. W3MG has a unique ability to view the entire business process rather than only design, or development, or sales, or marketing. These pieces are not silos – they have to fit together, or project risks go up and output goes down. If you don’t view these things a while, it can be like buying a house that won’t stand up because the plumbers, carpenters, interior designers and HVAC people all thought their role should have greatest importance and couldn’t agree.

Result Focus

Our clients get a clear simple process from us that focuses on collaboration and measurement to produce tangible results. We explore new processes and improve the ones we’ve developed over the last two decades with simple questions in mind: is this helping us work together better with our customers, our teammates? Are we dramatically lowering risk or increasing our ability to execute?

With those questions in mind we approach our methodology like a masterful musician and composer: We don’t dwell on one genre or one instrument, we focus on the whole. At the end of the day, we watch people use the Web site and measure those results. For the musician: does it sound good to the audience? For our clients: are people engaging with and loving your service or product online?

To get to the great “yes” answer to the last question, we do break things down into a series of integrated processes and we walk you through those to help you learn as we go. Here are some of the popular concepts, practices and technologies we’ve worked with and improved upon to inform what we do.
